A hebe found throughout the North Island with long pale green leaves and long white spike flowers in Summer.
It is a common Hebe naturally found in the Auckland Ecological Region
The Koromiko is a fast growing shrub, easily established and prefers open habitats on forest margins.
It is a pioneer plant useful to plant as a nurse crop for revegetation planting.
Recently Hebe stricta has been reclassified and the botanical name has changed to Veronica stricta.
