This is an attractive coastal Pittosporum, popular for its fast growth, robust grey-green leaves, sweetly scented flowers and remarkable resilience in coastal areas.
The leaves have a grey tormentum( a dense covering of soft hairs) on the underside.
Dark red flowers in Spring and early Summer and large green seed capsules which split to reveal shiny black seeds in late Autumn.
Can be clipped as a hedge.
