Marble leaf, Putaputaweta

An attractive tree with upright spreading branches, found throughout New Zealand on forest margins and stream banks. The juvenile form has tangled growth.

It has white flowers in Spring followed by seed capsules. The seed is distributed by the birds.
This plant is host to the puriri moth.
