A sprawling coastal groundcover that grows into a tangled mass of brown wiry stems with small round leaves and small cream flowers.

Pohuehue is found naturally on sand dunes throughout New Zealand.
It will form a dense mound or will climb over other plants.

Fast growing and used in coastal restoration.
Can be trained as a climb on wire.
